Recycled Pallets

Compared to new pallets, recycled pallets are more cost-effective and environmentally friendly. There are two types of recycled pallets: reconditioned (repaired) and remanufactured.

As with all our products, we treat our used pallets with the same care and attention.

Buy New Wood Pallets

Designed exclusively for you. Using innovative machinery or handwork, UPR can manufacture new pallets.

It is possible to custom-build wood pallets from the ground up to suit your exact needs. You can use them for multiple trips without having to repair them. Reconditioned recycled pallets can continue serving your business once repairs are needed.

STRINGER PALLETS

Stringer Pallets are the most commonly used.

Pallets made from wooden stringers can be fully customized, repaired, reused, and recycled. The top and bottom deckboards of a pallet are supported by a solid, or notched, runner (“2×4”); the number of stringers per pallet can vary depending on the product being shipped.

BLOCK PALLET

It is also known as a “full” or “true” four-way pallet.

Instead of stringers, deck boards are supported by wooden blocks.

The top and bottom decks of a pallet are separated by rectangular, square, or cylindrical spacers. The construction of a block pallet allows pallet jacks to approach it from any side, making it stronger than a stringer pallet and easier to handle.

SKID

Platforms without bottom decks.

The platform rests on stringers attached to the deck. Pallets are typically two-way and used almost exclusively for storing heavy items. Steel and paper industries commonly use this material.

FAQ

Common questions about used pallet recycling

How do you recycle pallets?

Recycling pallets is easier than you might think. All types of pallets can be broken down and recycled, including wood, metal, and plastic. It is generally considered that wood pallets are “clean wood,” which can be used for scrap. A wood chipper can also be used to process clean wood pallets into a variety of different things, such as animal bedding, mulch, or fuel for wood-burning boilers and stoves.

Most plastic and metal pallets can also be recycled, depending on the type of material used. If you wish to recycle pallets, you’ll need to contact your local recycling facility to find out if they accept your type of pallet. You can always book a local junk hauler if they won’t take it. We Partner with eco-friendly junk removal company will do our best to dispose of pallets in the greenest manner.

Can you throw pallets away?

It is possible to dispose of your old pallets in a more environmentally friendly manner than by throwing them away. Recycling pallets is an excellent idea. Due to their size, pallets cannot be recycled curbside, so you’ll have to take them to a recycling center.

The experts at a UPR junk removal company can help you if you lack the time, strength, or truck to get rid of pallets yourself! In addition to pallet removal, we also offer skid removal, box removal, and container removal services. Most areas can be serviced the next day since we use local independent contractors.

Is there anything I can do with old pallets?

It is easy to repurpose old pallets. Repurposing them into eclectic, creative furniture pieces, bookshelves, wine bars, etc., is a great idea. Due to their lighter weight and durability, wooden pallets make the best furniture items. Your home or office will look great with pallet furniture upcycled from old pallets.

Gardening can also be done with old pallets. Before seedlings are transferred to a pot or ground, stackable plastic pallets are great for germinating and growing them. The wood from pallets can also be used to create something new and different, such as a swing or a standing garden. It is possible to chip up wood pallets that are in poor condition by taking them apart and putting them through a wood chipper.

What is the best place to dispose of wooden pallets?

When it comes to disposing of unwanted wooden pallets, there are several good options available. It is possible to recycle, donate, or repurpose wooden pallets into interesting and fun furniture pieces. Landscape material can also be made from wooden pallets.

Lifting and carrying wooden pallets is difficult due to their weight. Don’t forget to wear durable work gloves when hauling away wood pallets or skids on your own. Make sure there are no exposed nails or splintered wood.
