Are the Pallets Behind Cosco Free To Take?

On April 24, 2023

Can I take the Pallets Outside of Cosco?

No you cannot. Pallets are usually not free to take without permission from the owner. Many businesses use pallets to transport their goods and rely on them for their day-to-day operations, so it’s important to obtain permission before taking any pallets. It’s possible that Cosco has specific policies or procedures for their pallets, so it would be best to check with them directly to confirm whether the pallets behind their location are free to take or not.

Where can you find free pallets

When looking for free pallets its best to go for local and smaller businesses. Most large department stores or manufactures will already have a plan in place for pallet removal and are likely getting paid for them. So they will not be too happy with people coming buy and taking them.

On the other hand many small companies struggle to get rid of pallets because larger pallet recyclers are not going to want to pick up small volumes of pallets. If you see some pallets sitting outside of a local business always feel free to go inside and ask if you can take them. Often times they will be happy to gie them to you and would usually ask if you can pick them up on a regular basis
